Profile
Kamoru is the head of the firm’s Energy, Tax and Dispute Resolution Practice Groups of the firm. An outstanding lawyer with demonstrable standard of efficiency, Kamoru graduated summa cum laude from the University of Ibadan and subsequently enrolled as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Prior to attending the University of Ibadan, Kamoru obtained a National Diploma in Business Administration and Management with a distinction from the Federal Polytechnic Ede. For many years, Kamoru worked for top law firms in Nigeria. He worked for a preeminent business law firm in Lagos where he garnered considerable experience in many areas of law before he left Nigeria for postgraduate studies at the University of Adelaide, Australia.
Kamoru has appeared before all the superior courts of record in Nigeria on matters relating to contracts, energy, tax, winding-up petitions, receivership and shareholdings. He has advised foreign and local companies, and high net-worth individuals on complex legal matters. He recently advised Solarflares Energy on a multi-million dollar distributorship agreement with a Russian-based renewable energy company. He was the lead counsel to the Zamfara State Commission of Enquiry into the Government Expenditure that was set up by the Zamfara State Government in 2012. Kamoru has interest in family law, taxation, electric power, immigration, intellectual property, construction engineering, oil & gas, energy, taxation, commercial litigation, immigration, appellate practices and banking.

Profile
Segun is a Partner in the firm’s Real Estate and Corporate Commercial Practice Groups. He has advised clients on contracts. Segun attended the University of Ibadan for his LLB and the Lagos campus of the Nigerian Law School for the bar qualifying exams. He had prior to studying for a law degree obtained a doctorate degree in Religious Studies from the same University of Ibadan. Segun was into a private practice before he joined the law firm of K. T. Lawal & Co. as a partner in the Corporate Commercial practice of the firm. He recently advised a corporate client on the documentation and disbursement of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s anchor borrowers’ loan.

Wale is a Partner in the firm’s Dispute Resolution and head of the firm’s the Corporate Commercial Practice. Wale has more than 15 years of combined legal and commercial experience, which he brings to bear when advising clients on complex legal issues. He routinely advises local and international clients the appropriate business structure, technology transfer, contractual and regulatory issues, joint ventures arrangements, franchising, immigration, construction, and tax implications of those transactions. Prior to qualifying as a lawyer, Wale obtained a degree in Modern European Languages from the Obafemi Awolowo University.

Profile
Raliat is a Partner in the firm’s Corporate Commercial Practice Group and heads the Real Estate Infrastructure team of the firm. She has acted for and advised clients on all aspects of real estate, construction engineering, infrastructure projects, immigration, corporate and debt recovery. Raliat attended the Kogi State University for her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and was called to the Nigerian Bar after she successfully completed the law school programme. She started her law career in the law firm of S. Y. Adda, a commercial law firm in the city of Lagos. Raliat recently advised Bovea Ventures Limited’s on loan restructuring with one of the first generation banks. She also represented an indigenous energy company on the acquisition of a multi-million naira property in Ajah. She is currently advising a leading first generation bank on the recovery of loan granted to an indigenous oil processing company in Nigeria. Raliat has keen interest in matrimonial causes, real estate law, intellectual property, immigration and debt recovery.

Profile
Lukman is a Partner and head of the Kaduna office of the firm. He is a co-head of the firm’s Dispute Resolution, Energy and Corporate Commercial Practice teams. He has represented clients before all the superior courts of record in Nigeria. He recently defended the Nigerian Army in some of the fundamental rights cases instituted against the army. He started law practice in the law firm of K. T. Turaki & Co. He later joined the law firm of Abdulmalik Abdulazeez & Co., from where he resigned to form Fauziyya Attorneys & Solicitors. He later joined K. T. Lawal & Co. as a Partner. Lukman areas of interest cut across litigation, immigration, energy, employment and military law.
